Dev Dalmia
Hi there! I’m an junior studying Aerospace Engineering at USC. Currently conducting research into autonomous UAV systems for geospatial mapping. I’m driven by deep curiosity and a love for hardware, constantly learning and exploring new ways to build cool technology.
Last summer, I worked at Tata Aerospace, field testing aircraft and building their in-house concept design software. At Drona Aviation, I worked on design for an agriculture drone and pushed updates to the Pluto platform. At USC I create with SEP, the premier startup community and I engineer at RPL, the only student rocket team to cross the Karman Line.
When I’m not immersed in my projects, you’ll find me exercising - scaling indoor rock walls, tearing it up on the squash court, or crushing long distance runs. I'm also a foodie and aspiring chef, and can cook a mean Korean bibimbap, vodka pasta or Sri Lankan fish curry.
In high school, I was deeply immersed in robotics and my community food project. I founded Team Atlas - participating across competitions, reaching the national round twice and organized masterchef4many, a community food drive has served over 350,000 meals with over $400,000 of impact.
